جہلم پولیس نے مذہبی اسکالر انجینئر محمد علی مرزا کو گرفتار کرکے جیل منتقل کردیا ہے۔ میڈیا رپورٹس کے مطابق ڈپٹی کمشنر جہلم کے حکم پر انجینئر محمد علی مرزا کو مینٹیننس آف پبلک آرڈر (ایم پی او) کے سیکشن 3 کے تحت حراست میں لیا گیا۔ حکام کے مطابق گرفتاری کا مقصد امن و امان کی صورتحال کو برقرار رکھنا ہے۔ ذرائع کے مطابق انتظامیہ نے ان کی اکیڈمی کو بھی سیل کردیا تاکہ وہاں کسی بھی قسم کی سرگرمی یا اجتماع نہ ہوسکے۔ واضح رہے کہ مختلف مذہبی جماعتوں اور علما کرام کے وفود نے ضلعی انتظامیہ سے ملاقاتیں کرکے انجینئر محمد علی مرزا کی گرفتاری کا مطالبہ کیا تھا۔
